Some recommended reading — a wonderful book, which although it’s little dated in its references, it is timeless in laying out concepts that will help anyone in life: Dale Carnegie’s How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.
It’s written simply and with plain, straightforward prose, and the ideas it puts forth literally have life-saving potential. It’s especially appropriate in these times of economic hardship and uncertainty. So while it may be decades old, the principals within it are timeless.
Some of the best parts of the book are the recounting of personal stories by people Dale Carnegie interviewed — from normal, everyday housewives and businessmen to leaders and creators of industry, such as John D. Rockefeller and J.C. Penney, to Dale Carnegie’s own personal stories about his struggles and family. Highly recommended.
All the best.
